If we are collecting personal information on a form because it is authorised or required by a law, such as the LPA or Professional Standards Act 2004 (Qld), that law will be noted on the relevant form. In other contexts, we will tell you if it is being collected under a law if it is reasonable for us to do so in the circumstances. 

Examples of information include but are not limited to: names, contact details including addresses and phone numbers, identification documents, signatures, date of birth, financial details, occupation, and other information which enables Masons Solicitors to meet its legal obligations, conduct its business and to provide its services.

We collect information on our clients (including prospective clients); our employees and prospective employees; suppliers of other services such legal and financial services.

We collect personal information online using electronic forms, by written correspondence and forms, by telephone, by electronic communication and in person. There will be situations where it is appropriate for us to collect it from third parties such as search providers, medical practioners and reports, business and financial providers and records. 

We disclose information to other companies or individuals who assist Masons Solicitors to provide services to you, or perform functions on your behalf (eg other law firms, barristers and related service providers); Courts, Tribunals and Government Authorities and Agencies; and any other person or organisation whom you authorise us to disclose your information to.
